Instructions
In a shallow, wide bowl, vigorously whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until smooth.
Cut each slice of thick bread into three long sticks.
Heat a non-stick skillet on medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter.
Dip each bread stick into the egg mixture, coating all sides, and allow excess to drip off.
Cook the coated bread sticks in the skillet for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
Mix granulated sugar and remaining ground cinnamon in a small bowl.
Toss the cooked bread sticks in the cinnamon sugar mixture until well coated.
Serve warm with a small bowl of maple syrup or honey for dipping.
Notes
Use thick bread for best results.
